Greek wine
If you’ve ever visited Greece (or any of its beautiful islands) you’ll no doubt have tasted some of its wonderful indigenous wines. Tricky to pronounce (with names like Xinomavro and Assyrtiko) they are both unique and delicious – and deserve to be much better known internationally. Treat yourself from our selection of Greek wines below and discover a new favourite.
Zinfandel
Zinfandel is the signature grape in California – and becoming ever more popular by the day. Made famous by the sweetly fruited ‘White Zinfandel’ pinks, now US winemakers are making deeply flavoured, robust reds that deliver juicy, bright red berry fruit and smoky spice on every sip. Grab yourself a bottle of Zinfandel to see what all the fuss is about!
Gewurztraminer
Difficult to pronounce but easy to recognise, Gewürztraminer is a beautifully distinctive wine traditionally from Alsace. The name ‘Gewürz’ literally means ‘spicy’ or ‘perfumed’. You’ll find Gewürztraminer typically has intense, aromatic aromas of rose petal and lychee with outstanding examples developing flavours of honey and dried fruit. Coming in a wide range of styles, try this deliciously complex and flavourful wine here.
Sauternes
Discover Sauternes – a rich, luxuriously sweet dessert wine from France, prized for its opulent tropical fruit and caramel notes. One of the world’s most revered and celebrated sweet wines, Sauternes is a perfect end-of-evening treat or served with creamy desserts. When left to age, this wine becomes deliciously deep and complex – if you can wait that long! Browse our range of premium Sauternes wines.
Marlborough
Marlborough, New Zealand’s largest wine region, is famous for its crisp and fruity Sauvignon Blanc wines. Renowned for their bright acidity, zesty citrus and tropical fruit flavours, and grassy notes, these dry white wines embody Marlborough’s unique landscape and sunny climate. The region also makes excellent Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Riesling wines. Browse our selection of Marlborough wines and discover your next favourite.
Nero d’Avola
A Sicilian success story, Nero d’Avola is gaining the worldwide attention it deserves. This versatile grape produces full-bodied, dry reds loved for their fruit-forward character and deep, savoury hints. But the grape can also produce lighter, more aromatic wines. Nero d’Avola thrives in Sicily’s hot climate, and its wines often carry a distinctive Mediterranean herbal note that complements its fruit flavours. Its red wines are a must-try for any red wine lover looking to discover a new favourite. Shop our premium range of Nero d’Avola wines.
French red wine
France is undeniably a titan when it comes to red wines. Prized for their quality and variety, French red wines are a product of age-old traditions combined with innovative winemaking techniques. From the acclaimed full-bodied blends of Bordeaux and the elegant Pinot Noirs of Burgundy to the robust Syrah of Rhône Valley, France’s historic wine regions consistently yield world-renowned wines. Whether you’re a seasoned wine enthusiast or a curious beginner, discover our selection of expert-picked French red wines to suit any budget.
Sauvignon Blanc
Sauvignon Blanc is probably the UK’s favourite white, delighting wine lovers with explosive aromas of gooseberry, cut grass and guava. It’s a grape native to Bordeaux but has found a home in vineyards throughout the world. If you want a glass with the volume turned up, look to the tropical-fruit-packed Sauvignon Blanc wines from New Zealand, led by Cloudy Bay and Hunters. South Africa and Chile have emerged as sources of fantastic value, while the more elegant, minerally Sauvignon Blancs of the Loire Valley are for many still the pinnacle.
Vegan Wine
“What exactly is ‘vegan wine’?” It’s a question we’re getting asked a lot. Especially since logic suggests all wine is vegan – it’s made from fermented grapes after all! But dig a little deeper and you’ll find traditional winemaking uses animal-derived products. It isn’t something you can taste, but those following plant-based lifestyles may want to reach for a vegan alternative. The good news is that there are plenty of high-quality wines that vegans can enjoy. You can browse our collection of over 150 vegan wines below.
Verdejo wine
One of the key white wine grapes of northwest Spain, Verdejo has a character not dissimilar to Sauvignon Blanc – with lots of bright, citrusy, herbaceous flavours. Relatively under-the-radar it can also be a great value for money option. Discover the joys of this appealing white wine in our exciting range.
Asti
Home to some of the sweet sparkling white wines Asti Spumante and Moscato d’Asti, the province of Asti is found in Piedmont, northwestern Italy. Famous for its sparkling wines made from the fruity, aromatic Moscato grape, Asti winemakers also make robust and powerful reds using the native Barbera grape as well as easy-drinking reds made from Dolcetto. Browse our selection of Asti wines.
Melon de Bourgogne
Say hello to Melon de Bourgogne … the Muscadet grape. The most commonly grown grape in the Pays Nantais region of the Loire, it’s responsible for one of France’s most classic white wines. Nebbiolo
One of the world’s oldest wine grapes, Nebbiolo is at the heart of some of Italy’s most premium and expensive red wines, including Barolo and Barbaresco. It’s a contradictory character, with a pale colour and delicate aromas but a full body and grippy, bold tannins. With the potential to age for over a decade, Nebbiolo’s juicy red fruit flavours, floral aromas and savoury, earthy hints make it a wine worth waiting for (if you have the patience!). Explore our full selection of Nebbiolo wines.
Chardonnay
There’s a reason Chardonnay’s popularity on the world stage shows no sign of diminishing. Considered the most versatile white wine grape in the world, you’ll find styles ranging from lean and crisp to big and buttery … even sparkling. There really is a Chardonnay wine for every taste and budget! The French village of Chablis stands a league above for pure, mineral styles. While more luxurious French Chardonnay wines come from Burgundy’s southern vineyards, such as Meursault. Australia’s Margaret River and Yarra plus Sonoma in California are close behind in quality – and price – with Chile proving itself to be an excellent source of great value hidden gems.
Pedro Ximénez
Often known as PX for short, Pedro Ximénez isn’t a name you come across every day. It’s a white grape variety, mostly grown in southern Spain and nearly always dried to produce a wonderful, ultra-sweet, luscious, fortified wine, with flavours of dried fig, caramel, dark chocolate and molasses. Occasionally, it comes as a stony-fresh, dry white wine, most notably from the Elqui Valley in Chile.
Mixed White Wine Cases

White Wine Offers

You’ll find classics like Pinot Noir and Gamay from France, Frappato from Italy, Zweigelt from Austria and more … All with a guarantee of quality, character and value.

Shop our selection of Tempranillo wines, from the finest Gran Reserve Riojas to vibrant everyday wines

Expect peppery aromas and black fruit flavours with hints of chocolate and a kick of spice. Originally from France’s Rhône Valley, Syrah is now planted around the world in Australia, California and South Africa, where it is known as Shiraz. Explore our range of Syrah reds.
Médoc
The Médoc is one of Bordeaux’s most famous wine regions, home to some of the most sought-after red wines in the world. These Cabernet Sauvignon-dominated blends, from revered estates such as Château Lafite Rothschild and Château Latour, are rich, complex wines with impressive ageing potential. They burst with dark fruit flavours and notes of cedar and graphite, spices and earth. Explore our curated collection from this distinguished region and savour the elegance of Médoc wine.
Riesling
One of the world’s most misunderstood white grape varieties, Riesling should be top of the list for white wine lovers looking for zingy, aromatic flavour and versatility. Riesling from Germany and Alsace can be sweet or dry, while Australia’s Clare and Eden valleys produce gloriously steely, lime-fresh examples. Typical flavours include apples, blossoms and lemons. It has the ability to age gracefully, adopting a distinct petrol aroma after years in the bottle.

Italian Favourites
With a winemaking history stretching back to at least the 8th century, Italy is the cornerstone of the world’s wine industry, and easy to say why it is a firm customer favourite. In fact, it’s home to so many different grape varieties that experts struggle to count them – estimates range from 350 to over 3,000 (we think it’s closer to 500 in use). For reds, start with Sangiovese from Tuscany's Chianti or Barolo from Piedmont. Star whites include Pinot Grigio and Soave Classico and, of course, for fizz-lovers there's Prosecco and Asti Spumante. But that's just the tip of the iceberg ... explore our favourites below
