Collezione di Paolo Chianti Riserva 2013
Chianti DOCG
Loading...
Chianti is one of Italy’s great classic reds, yet choose Riserva and the rewards are three fold. This is an absolute charmer from our great friend and favourite producer Paolo Masi, at his family estate in the superior Rufina. So silky and complex.
We're sorry, this wine is sold out.
But don't worry, you'll find plenty more handpicked wines here.

The Wine
For many wine and food lovers, Italy means Tuscany, and the wine that put it on the map was Chianti. Paolo Masi is a gifted winemaker who has been delighting fans with his well priced, handcrafted Tuscan reds for two decades. His flagship Chianti Riserva is a notch above most others thanks to his sheer dedication to quality. Founded in 1900, the Masi property, Fattoria di Basciano, lies high on a hill, overlooking the Argomenna valley and the Sieve river, in the Rufina area, and comprises 25 hectares of vines, 15 hectares of olive trees and swathes of woodland inhabited by wild boar. Aged in oak barrels for 14 months, this 2013 Riserva is a silky, rich, complex Chianti, best enjoyed with calf’s liver, meaty pasta, light game or pork ragù.
For many wine and food lovers, Italy means Tuscany, and the wine that put it on
Full bodied, full flavour, a little spice on the finish, low in tannins. A bit of a show-off wine
