Domaine Henri Gouges Bourgogne 2012
Bourgogne AOC
Loading...
This may be the entry level from Henri Gouges, but as you’d expect from such a highly regarded name, this tastes anything but ordinary. Unlike the estate’s famously ageworthy Grands Crus, this is made to enjoy young and over the next few years.
We're sorry, this wine is sold out.
But don't worry, you'll find plenty more handpicked wines here.

The Wine
Founded in 1919, Domaine Henri Gouges is one of the most famous names in Burgundy. They owe their success to the unquestionable quality of their wines and also because of their uncompromising nature, a legacy of the founder, Henri Gouges. The family owns around 14.5 hectares of vineyard, including holdings in six Nuits Saint Georges Premiers Crus. Their vines are an average age of around 40 years, and as such, yield a small harvest of concentrated fruit. Gregory represents the fourth generation of Gouges winemakers and under his watch the estate was certified fully organic. Whilst retaining the domaine’s traditional approach, he has made the wines less extracted and more approachable in their youth. Ideal with duck over the next two years.
