The Wine
Founded in 1760 by François Delamotte, Lanson is one of the oldest and most widely recognised Champagne houses. The Chef de Cave, Jean-Paul Gandon, has been in charge of ensuring top quality and consistency since 1986. A high percentage of Pinot Noir accounts for this wine’s richness, while complete absence of malolactic fermentation in the winemaking process results in a house style that is always fruity and delicious. The Noble Cuvée is made from the top 100% rated Grands Crus vineyards and is considered the ultimate expression of the Lanson style. The outstanding 2000 vintage is a beautiful golden colour, with aromas of citrus fruits and more evolved nutty and honeyed notes. An exquisite wine to enjoy on a very special occasion.
