The Wine
The 1890 Manzanos label is a celebration of the family’s 127 years of heritage. Magnificently bottled in magnum. Brothers David and Victor took over in their early twenties, after the untimely death of their father. They inherited from him a thirst for innovation and a desire to question tradition. First they completed the new winery started by their father. That was in 2002. Since then they have continued to be daring, as well as expand their portfolio. This is all with the help of talented winemaker Borja Ripa. This delightful pink is largely Garnacha with a splash of Tempranillo Blanca, aged on lees for two months in barrel. You won’t notice the oak so much, but a creamy roundness. Serve solo or with seafood, white meats or creamy pasta.
