From a mere spark of an idea in the early 1990s, three winemaking friends got together and turned Farnese into one of the most successful cellars in Italy. They’ve since gained a long list of glowing reviews from the likes of Robert Parker, Decanter, Wine Spectator, Gambero Rosso and the International Wine Challenge, which in 2004 awarded them the Trophy for ‘Best Italian Red’. And the trio’s success helped make the Montepulciano grape renowned all over the world.
