It comes from a winery that can boast a long list of awards from the likes of Robert Parker, Decanter, Wine Spectator, Gambero Rosso and the IWC. We met the entrepreneurial founders in 1992, the year they set up the business, hijacking the best trucks of grapes and diverting them to their own cellar. Cheeky but we were impressed and have been buying from them ever since. Filippo Baccalaro remains the talented winemaker responsible for the wines’ superb quality.
