The Wine
Fili Asolo is an elegant fizz, full of delicious apple and lemon flavours, and presented in a particularly eye pleasing bottle! It is from Asolo in the heart of Prosecco country, 50 km north of Venice, at the foot of the Alps. Thanks to steep sloping vineyards the quality of the wine is especially fine, and Asolo has been awarded its own superior DOCG status – hence its nickname, the Pearl of Treviso. Winemaker Paolo Sacchetto uses a very gentle horizontal press to extract only the purest juice from his grapes and ensure the most delicate results. His Fili Asolo Prosecco is made in an elegant, fruity style and displays a lovely balance of apple, pear and creamy lemon freshness. A great dinner party apéritif and superb with antipasti too.
