The Story Behind the Bottle
Finca Valpiedra Reserva is a very special release from the much-lauded Martínez Bujanda family. Growers in the region since 1889, they completed a state-of-the-art cellar in 1984. They have always had a very innovative approach to winemaking and have won a reputation for outstanding quality. In the 1990s, they bought this fabulous single estate, nestled in a bend of the Ebro river. Here, a particularly beneficial microclimate helps produce wines of great elegance. Tempranillo supported by a little Cabernet Sauvignon and perfumed Graciano, this wine is luxuriously matured in all-new French oak casks for 15 months. Rich, elegant and well-structured, almost like a claret, it will make a grand partner to lamb, beef or feathered game.
