We’ve had a strong presence in Bordeaux for four decades and an enviable network of contacts, especially with Bordelais Jean-Marc Sauboua in charge. Calling on some of these for a vat of premium quality grapes, he crafted the silky, ripe La Chapelle.

The Wine
With a proud medal winning pedigree, La Chapelle de Bordeaux is a cuvée from the Entre Deux Mers and typifies the style for which this region is renowned. It displays good depth of colour with expressive ripe cassis and dark plum aromas. It’s smooth, rounded and elegantly proportioned with just a subtle hint of spice – the epitome of modern claret. The man behind it is our own Jean-Marc Sauboua, who was born and raised amongst the vineyards of Bordeaux. Having trained in the cellar of a First Growth château, his standards are exceedingly high and he always makes the best wine possible, regardless of price. We recommend you drink La Chapelle with lamb chops or pan-fried duck. No need to decant – it’s already full of supple fruity charm.

Quite honestly the best Bordeaux I have tasted. Can’t stop recommending it to my friends!
