Gavi DOCG

Gavi is one Italy’s finest classic whites, with the poise, elegance and finesse of France’s revered Chablis. This beauty from award winning winemaker Bruno Cordero in Piedmont has delicious, mineral laden stone fruit with a zip of citrus freshness.
We're sorry, this wine is sold out.
But don't worry, you'll find plenty more handpicked wines here.
The Wine
Gavi, in northwest Italy, makes one of Italy’s best loved whites, from the Cortese grape, which grows there “superbly well” (Hugh Johnson). Meziane is a great value expression of this classic Italian wine. It is crafted by Bruno Cordero, who was born near Alba in Piedmont, famous for its white truffles. Other world renowned wines like Barolo and Moscato d’Asti are also from this important gastronomic region. The Terre da Vino winery where Bruno is in charge of winemaking draws on grapes from a number of dedicated local growers to ensure fabulous consistency from one vintage to the next. Meziane makes a delightful apéritif and suits antipasti perfectly. Try it with tuna carpaccio or a fresh pea and fennel risotto.
