Campodora Albana Secco 2016

Rated by Decanter magazine as one of the top five producers of Romagna, Poderi dal Nespoli prides itself on taking traditional grapes and giving them a bright modern twist. Just try this new one made from the ancient Albana grape. Indeed, Albana was the first white of the area to be given superior DOCG status. It’s grown on the slopes of the limestone clad Forli hills, ensuring a lovely, ripe peach intensity in the grapes. No wonder all of it, until now, was drunk locally. At the estate’s state of the art, environmentally sensitive winery, the family give the fruit kid glove treatment to capture the delicious flavours of this exciting variety. With lovely roundedness and weight, it’s a great partner to the cuisine of this gastronomic area.
