Here’s a ‘must try’ wine for Shiraz lovers. It's from Stellenrust – winner of 10 top medals, including two 'Outstanding Golds' and shortlisted for Top SA Producer, at the IWSC 2015 competition. Heritage Collection Shiraz is the Stellenrust estate’s rich, flavour packed interpretation of this Rhône Valley favourite. To craft his gorgeous Shiraz, winemaker Tertius Boshoff selects fruit from three separate vineyards. More than 70% comes from the family’s Helderberg vineyard which lies in the heart of the Stellenbosch Golden Triangle. Using special yeast imported from the Rhône Valley for fermentation, and aged in oak barrel for a year to gain just enough smoothness and complexity, this dense red is a cracker with roast lamb or steak pie.
